Our Founding Story

hummingbird, bird, hibiscus

Colibri Consulting Group (CCG) launched in 2017 when Founder, Vanessa Ramirez was on her own self reflective journey to better understand the type of professional impact she wanted to have on the world. After identifying the areas that truly made her happy and where she also identified noticeable gaps in the industries she previously worked in, she decided to prioritize a holistic approach to partnering with mission driven people and causes as a means for improving organizational cultures, centering people development, uplifting diverse leaders, and promoting best practices for sustainable social change through a global lens. Additionally, a lover of nature and someone who appreciates the beauty in the small things, Vanessa gravitated towards one tiny but resilient animal which would become a key component to the business, “el colibrí,” which means hummingbird in more than 25 languages. Taking additional inspiration from “el colbrí”, CCG strives to put these core values and the spirit of the hummingbird at the forefront of our work with each client engagement.
